Prometheus

Prometheus (2012) is Ridley Scott's sci-fi horror you can watch online on iFILM. It marks his return to the universe of Alien, a prequel that grew into its own story about where humankind came from.

Late in the 21st century, archaeologists find identical cave paintings scattered across the globe, all pointing to the same distant star. The Weyland Corporation funds a ship called Prometheus, and the crew sets off for a far-off moon hoping to meet the engineers who made us. Among them are scientist Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace), the icy mission overseer Vickers (Charlize Theron) and the android David (Michael Fassbender), who is running a quiet agenda of his own. What waits beneath the planet's surface answers their questions in the worst possible way.

Scott built a dark, expensive film about faith, origins and the cost of curiosity. Fassbender, playing a robot who studies and mimics human behavior, carries half the picture on his own.
