Aliens (1986) is James Cameron's sci-fi action sequel — watch online on iFILM. Sigourney Weaver is back as Ellen Ripley, who spent 57 years drifting in hypersleep after barely escaping the creature that wiped out her crew. Now she's told that LV-426 has been colonised. And the colony just went silent.

Ripley goes back, this time with a squad of Colonial Marines: Corporal Hicks (Michael Biehn), Private Hudson (Bill Paxton), Vasquez (Jenette Goldstein) and android Bishop (Lance Henriksen). What they find is not one creature — it's a hive. Somewhere inside is a small girl named Newt (Carrie Henn), the only survivor. Cameron deliberately shifted the genre register from Ridley Scott's claustrophobic horror to something closer to a siege film, with ammunition counts and extraction plans that keep falling apart.
