Synopsis

The Mist (2007) is a sci-fi horror thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Frank Darabont and adapted from Stephen King's novella. Thomas Jane plays David Drayton, a painter who drives into town the morning after a violent storm and ends up trapped in a grocery store when a solid wall of white mist rolls in from the direction of the local military base.

Something is alive in that mist. The creatures outside are lethal, but the real unraveling happens inside the store. Marcia Gay Harden's Mrs. Carmody begins preaching apocalyptic retribution, and as panic spreads, the crowd becomes as dangerous as whatever lurks beyond the glass doors. Toby Jones plays Ollie, a stock clerk who turns out to be the steadiest person in the building. The survival calculus shifts by the hour.

Darabont changed King's ending — made it darker, more irreversible. That choice turned The Mist into one of the most argued-about horror films of its decade. Stream The Mist (2007) online on iFILM.
