The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion (마녀, 2018) is a Korean sci-fi action thriller you can watch online on iFILM. An eight-year-old girl flees a hidden lab deep in the woods, collapses in a field, and wakes up with no memory of who she was.

Ten years on, she lives as Koo Ja-yoon (Kim Da-mi), a quiet farm-town high schooler raised by an aging couple. With the family broke and her adoptive mother slipping into dementia, Ja-yoon enters a televised talent contest for the cash prize. The broadcast brings the wrong people back into her life. A smiling stranger calls her by an old name and reminds her she nearly killed him once. Her ordinary cover story cracks wide open.

Director Park Hoon-jung, known for the crime films New World and V.I.P., spends the first hour playing it as a small rural drama, then detonates it into brutal, bone-cracking carnage.
