The trip goes wrong fast: Marty stumbles into the path of his own parents before they ever meet, and his mother Lorraine (Lea Thompson) develops a crush on him instead of his father George (Crispin Glover). Fix the timeline or Marty ceases to exist. Getting back requires 1.21 gigawatts of power — and the only source available is a lightning bolt that will strike the town clock tower in exactly one week.
