Synopsis
In Order of Disappearance (Kraftidioten, 2014) is a pitch-black Norwegian crime comedy from Hans Petter Moland, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Snowplow driver Nils has just been named Citizen of the Year when word comes that his son is dead.
The police call it a heroin overdose. Nils doesn't buy it for a second. A quiet workman who has spent his life clearing mountain roads of snow grabs a shotgun and starts clearing out the local drug trade instead, one name at a time. Trouble is, every body he drops sparks a war between a Serbian cartel and a smug crime boss called The Count. Stellan Skarsgård plays Nils, and his stone-faced calm is half the joke. The late Bruno Ganz turns up as an aging Serbian gangster, with Pål Sverre Hagen as The Count.
The humor runs ice-cold and very Scandinavian: every death gets its own black title card, a name and a little cross, which is where the original title comes from.
