Code 8 (2019) is a sci-fi crime action movie you can watch online on iFILM. Director Jeff Chan cast real-life cousins Robbie and Stephen Amell as, respectively, a young man who throws electricity and the crew boss who hires him.

In Lincoln City, a small fraction of people are born with abilities, and that gift mostly buys them poverty and suspicion. Drones hover overhead; militarized robot units patrol the streets. Connor Reed pulls electric current out of thin air, but day labor on construction sites won't cover his sick mother's treatment. So he drifts toward Garrett's gang, which turns powered people into profit through jobs that are anything but legal.

The film grew out of a 2016 short and a crowdfunding push backed by fans, and it later spawned a sequel and a spin-off series. Kari Matchett plays Connor's mother; Sung Kang turns up as one of Garrett's men. The tagline says it plainly: fear is the most dangerous power. Stream Code 8 (2019) online on iFILM.
