The Starving Games

The Starving Games (2013) is a spoof comedy you can watch online on iFILM. A girl named Kantmiss Evershot volunteers for the 75th annual Starving Games, where the grand prize isn't power but an old ham, a foot-long sub coupon and a partially eaten pickle.

This is Friedberg and Seltzer territory, the duo behind Meet the Spartans and Epic Movie, aiming their scattershot at The Hunger Games and swinging sideways at Avatar, Harry Potter and a pile of other blockbusters along the way. The jokes come fast and loud, built for viewers who know the source by heart, running on the simple rule that dumber is funnier. Maiara Walsh plays Kantmiss with a straight face through all of it.
