Synopsis
Reign of the Supermen (2019) is a DC animated action film you can watch online on iFILM. Picking up right after The Death of Superman, it opens on a grieving world: the Man of Steel fell battling Doomsday, and now four strangers step up claiming his cape.
Each one insists he's the real successor. Superboy is a brash teenage clone. Steel is engineer John Henry Irons in homemade armor. The Cyborg Superman is half machine and all menace. And the cold, ruthless Last Son of Krypton answers to no one. Lois Lane (Rebecca Romijn) tries to work out which of them deserves trust while the Justice League digs into who orchestrated the whole thing. The voice cast includes Jerry O'Connell, Nathan Fillion, Rosario Dawson and Rainn Wilson as a wonderfully smug Lex Luthor.
The script follows the famous early-'90s comic arc, but directors Sam Liu and Jake Castorena compress it into a brisk 87 minutes with hard-hitting fights.
