Meanwhile Peter juggles quizzes, the homecoming dance, and best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon), who stumbles onto the suit. Zendaya lurks in the back of class, and Marisa Tomei turns up as a surprisingly young Aunt May.

Watts skipped the save-the-planet epic and made a scrappy teen comedy about a boy who can barely control his powers and drops an elevator he meant to catch.
