Synopsis
Joe Dirt (2001) is a road-trip comedy starring David Spade that you can watch online on iFILM. A mullet-sporting janitor in acid-washed jeans crosses the country to find the parents who left him at the Grand Canyon when he was eight.
Joe spills his whole life on a live radio call-in show, where snide host Zander Kelly (Dennis Miller) treats him as a punchline. The flashbacks pile up: the trailer park, a string of dead-end jobs, a meteorite he mistook for good luck, and Brandy (Brittany Daniel), the one person who ever believed in him. The journey throws plenty of weirdos his way, none stranger than Christopher Walken as a jittery fireworks-stand owner.
Directed by Dennie Gordon from a script Spade co-wrote with Fred Wolf, the film mixes Kid Rock and Jaime Pressly into the cast and a wall of '80s hard rock into the soundtrack. It's crude, proudly dumb, and weirdly warm-hearted under all the gags. If broad American slapstick with zero pretensions is your thing, Joe Dirt delivers. Stream Joe Dirt (2001) online on iFILM.
