Three animals who have no reason to trust each other must cross a freezing continent together to return the child.

The film runs 81 minutes and earned $383 million at the worldwide box office, launching a franchise that grew to six instalments. What makes it hold up is the straight-faced emotion underneath the comedy — Manny carries a loss that the film only hints at, and the audience feels it without needing it spelled out.
