Synopsis
Arthur the King (2024) is an adventure drama you can watch online on iFILM. Mark Wahlberg stars as Michael Light, the captain of an endurance racing team chasing one last shot at the win.
The course runs 435 miles across jungle, whitewater and mountain ridges over ten brutal days. Somewhere in the mud, a battered street dog starts following the racers. Michael feeds him, names him Arthur, and assumes that's the end of it. It isn't. The dog refuses to quit, matching the team stride for stride and slowly rewriting what they think loyalty is worth. Simu Liu, Nathalie Emmanuel and Ali Suliman round out the crew.
The story comes from real life: Swedish racer Mikael Lindnord and the dog he met during an adventure race in Ecuador. Director Simon Cellan Jones keeps the sentiment in check, leaning on grit and exhaustion instead of easy tears. Good pick for dog people and anyone who likes survival stories that earn their feeling.
