The Lost World: Jurassic Park

Chaos theorist Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) has no interest in going back. Then he learns his girlfriend, paleontologist Sarah Harding (Julianne Moore), is already on Isla Sorna, so he heads out to pull her off. A second crew lands too: hired hunters with cages and trucks, planning to bag specimens for profit. The two teams collide in the jungle, the hunters become the hunted, and a pair of grieving T. rexes turns the rescue into a chase.

John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) wants to make up for past mistakes by leaving the island wild, but the finale drags the chaos straight into San Diego. Spilberg shot this sequel darker and meaner than the original, adapting Michael Crichton's second novel, with Vince Vaughn and Pete Postlethwaite along for the ride.
