Cape Fear

Cape Fear (1991) is a crime thriller directed by Martin Scorsese — watch online on iFILM. Now he's out, tattooed and quoting scripture, and he wants Sam Bowden to feel exactly what loss looks like.

Bowden (Nick Nolte) is a comfortable small-town attorney with a wife (Jessica Lange) and a teenage daughter (Juliette Lewis) he's already failing to protect. Cady doesn't rush. He circles, threatens, and keeps the whole family off-balance while the law can do nothing — he hasn't technically broken any rules yet. Scorsese shot it as a conscious nod to the 1962 original: Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum, who played the leads in that version, both appear in supporting roles here.
