In the Electric Mist

In the Electric Mist (2009) is a Southern crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM. French director Bertrand Tavernier adapts James Lee Burke's novel, setting Tommy Lee Jones loose in the Louisiana bayou as Detective Dave Robicheaux.

Robicheaux is juggling two cases at once. A fresh murder in New Iberia connects to a New Orleans mob boss who happens to be bankrolling a Civil War picture shooting nearby. Then a skeleton surfaces in the Atchafalaya Swamp — remains that may tie back to a killing Robicheaux witnessed as a child decades ago. To complicate things further, Confederate soldiers keep appearing to him out of the mist. John Goodman, Peter Sarsgaard, Mary Steenburgen and Kelly Macdonald share the screen with Jones, who plays the detective as a man permanently soaked through by bayou weather.
