Willy's Wonderland

Willy's Wonderland (2021) is a gleefully violent horror-action romp with Nicolas Cage, ready to watch online on iFILM. A silent drifter blows a tire outside a backwater town and agrees to spend the night scrubbing down a shuttered children's entertainment center to cover the repair bill.

The job is a setup. The locals of Hayesville feed strangers to eight animatronic mascots left over from Willy's Wonderland, possessed puppets that wake after dark with a taste for blood. They picked the wrong janitor. Cage never speaks a single line. He cleans on a schedule, chugs soda when his watch timer beeps, and tears the killer robots apart limb by limb between chores. Meanwhile a group of teenagers led by Liv (Emily Tosta) breaks in to torch the place and rescue a man who very much does not need rescuing.

Director Kevin Lewis builds the whole thing around Cage's wordless, hypnotically committed performance, scoring fistfights to chirpy kiddie jingles and explaining almost nothing.
