Legion

Legion (2010) is a grim supernatural action-horror you can watch online on iFILM. God has given up on humanity and sent his angels to wipe it out. Only one of them refuses to follow the order: the archangel Michael.

Almost the whole film unfolds inside a run-down diner stranded in the desert. A handful of strangers end up there together — the weary owner (Dennis Quaid), his son (Lucas Black), and a pregnant waitress whose unborn child is the last hope of the world. Played by Paul Bettany, Michael cuts off his own wings, loads a trunk full of guns and drills these misfits for the siege ahead. Outside, possessed ordinary people start to gather, and the first wave turns the cozy roadside stop into a fortress under fire.

Director Scott Stewart trades spectacle for claustrophobia: a slaughter in four walls, enemies rotting in the heat, stubborn faith against a sentence handed down from above. Kate Walsh, Tyrese Gibson and Adrianne Palicki round out the cast. Stream Legion (2010) online on iFILM.
