About

Synopsis

6 Days (2017) is a historical thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Toa Fraser. It reconstructs what unfolded in London over the spring of 1980, when an armed group seized the Iranian Embassy and held everyone inside captive.

The standoff drags on for the better part of a week. Police stall through negotiation, hoping to avoid bloodshed, while SAS operators rehearse storming the fortified building room by room. Ministers weigh the cost of every option: keep waiting, or risk the hostages in a raid. The film tracks three vantage points at once — the negotiator, the assault team, and a reporter working the street outside. Jamie Bell, Mark Strong and Abbie Cornish lead the cast.

The picture rebuilds the siege almost minute by minute, dry and free of heroic swagger, closer to documentary reenactment than a typical action film. That final assault, broadcast live to all of Britain back then, is staged here second by second. It's for viewers who favor restrained European thrillers drawn from real operations.
