Synopsis
Future World (2018) is a low-budget post-apocalyptic action film directed by James Franco and Bruce Thierry Cheung — watch it online on iFILM. In a scorched wasteland where no law exists, a young man leaves his settlement's last safe enclave to find medicine for his dying mother.
The road takes him through territory run by a violent Warlord. Among the Warlord's possessions is Ash, a combat android played by Suki Waterhouse, built to obey. When the young man frees her and she starts to remember something like feeling, it complicates both their missions. The cast also includes Milla Jovovich, Lucy Liu, and Snoop Dogg.
Made on a lean budget, this is straightforward genre work — desert chases, faction clashes, a few quieter beats that land better than expected. It does not reinvent the wasteland template, but it moves. Stream Future World online on iFILM.
