Synopsis

Stake Land (2010) is a post-apocalyptic horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Jim Mickle and starring Nick Damici and Connor Paolo.

America has fallen apart. Towns sit empty, roads run wild, and a vampire plague has spread across the ruins. These aren't caped aristocrats; they're feral, snarling things closer to rabid animals. After his family is killed, teenage Martin is taken in by a silent hunter known only as Mister, who teaches him to drive a stake through a heart. The two push north toward New Eden, a place rumored to still be safe. Along the way the bloodsuckers aren't the worst threat. A religious cult that treats the plague as God's judgment turns out to be far more dangerous.

Mickle skips the cheap jump scares for a bleak road drama about survival, owing more to Cormac McCarthy's The Road than to a standard creature feature. The cast includes Danielle Harris and Kelly McGillis. Quiet, brutal and long overlooked, it became a cult favorite among genre fans. Stream Stake Land (2010) online on iFILM.
