Hardware (1990) is a cult post-apocalyptic sci-fi horror you can watch online on iFILM — the debut feature from director Richard Stanley. Dylan McDermott and Stacey Travis lead the cast, with Iggy Pop and Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead appearing in brief but memorable cameos.

The world outside is desert and radiation. Soldier Mo brings his girlfriend Jill a gift: a skeletal machine head he bought off a scavenger in the wasteland. Jill is a sculptor. She likes it. What neither of them knows is that the fragment belongs to a MARK 13 military android — a government-built killing machine designed to reassemble itself from any available materials. It gets to work immediately, cannibalizing the apartment's wiring, pipes, and tools. Leaving is not an option. The city outside is toxic.

Stanley made Hardware on a shoestring, but its punk-industrial look and relentless claustrophobia punched well above the budget.
