Trust

Trust (2010) is a crime drama and thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Fourteen-year-old Annie, from a comfortable suburban home, meets a boy named Charlie in an online chat. Months of messaging, phone calls and a first crush follow, until the person on the other side of the screen turns out to be nothing like he claimed.

When the truth breaks open, it tears a whole family apart. Father Will becomes obsessed with hunting down and punishing the man, mother Lynn tries to hold both her daughter and herself together, and Annie herself refuses to accept she was deceived, defending the person who hurt her long after she should. The film skips the manhunt and goes inward, into shame, denial and a teenager's slow recovery.

Behind the camera is David Schwimmer, yes, Ross from Friends, who directed a surprisingly tough and restrained story about online grooming. Clive Owen and Catherine Keener play the parents, while young Liana Liberato carries the hardest scenes on her shoulders.
