Synopsis

Twenty years on, Maria's daughter Isabella (Fernanda Andrade) flies to Rome to film a documentary about her mother, now locked inside a psychiatric institution for the criminally insane. Doctors call it illness. Isabella suspects possession — and not by a single demon, but several. She falls in with two young priests, Ben and David, who perform unsanctioned exorcisms outside the Vatican's reach. What they wake up does not stay contained.
Shot entirely on handheld cameras, the movie leans hard into raw, shaky realism over polish. Its ending became infamous for cutting off mid-moment, no resolution offered — a gamble that splits viewers right down the middle.
