Orphan: First Kill

Orphan: First Kill (2022) is a horror thriller you can watch online on iFILM. This prequel to the cult 2009 film Orphan was directed by William Brent Bell, with Isabelle Fuhrman back in the role that made the original so unnerving.

The year is 2007. Leena Klammer escapes an Estonian psychiatric hospital — a grown woman whose rare condition leaves her looking like a child of nine. She slips into America by posing as Esther, the long-lost daughter of a wealthy family, and moves into their mansion as the miracle child returned home. The ruse holds at first. Then the mother, played by Julia Stiles, starts noticing things that do not add up, and she will go to brutal lengths to shield her household.

Fuhrman reprised Esther thirteen years after the original, with the de-aging pulled off through forced perspective and body doubles rather than CGI.
