The Last Exorcism

The Last Exorcism (2010) is a found-footage horror film you can watch online on iFILM. A con-man preacher agrees to expose exorcism on camera and runs into something that won't be debunked.

Reverend Cotton Marcus stopped believing in demons long ago. His exorcisms run on stage tricks, hidden speakers and pure showmanship, the faithful pay, and everyone goes home happy. To prove possession is a hoax, he invites a documentary crew and drives out to a remote Louisiana farm. A girl named Nell lives there, and her father is certain evil has taken root in her. Marcus sets up his usual act. This time, though, Nell's body bends in ways no trick explains, and the skeptic runs out of answers before the tape runs out.

Director Daniel Stamm shoots the whole thing handheld, with Eli Roth producing, and keeps you guessing between psychiatry and the devil. Ashley Bell plays the possessed girl with no CGI, contorting herself on camera, and her physical performance became the film's calling card.
