Throw Momma from the Train

Throw Momma from the Train (1987) is a pitch-black comedy you can watch online on iFILM. It marks Danny DeVito's directing debut, with Billy Crystal as a blocked novelist and DeVito as the meek student who wants out from under his tyrant of a mother.

After Owen catches a late-night showing of Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train, he gets an idea: swap murders. He'll kill Larry's vicious ex-wife, Larry kills his mom, and the cops never connect the dots. Small problem — Larry never agreed, and Owen has already made his move. Crystal plays the panic beautifully, while Anne Ramsey's Momma is a snarling, unkillable force who walks off with every scene.
