Matilda

Matilda (1996) is a family fantasy-comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Danny DeVito, who also plays the crooked father Harry Wormwood and narrates. The film adapts Roald Dahl's 1988 children's novel for TriStar Pictures.

Six-year-old Matilda can multiply three-digit numbers in her head and reads full novels before bedtime — none of which impresses her parents. Harry runs a car fraud operation; her mother Zinnia barely notices the children exist. School brings no relief: headmistress Agatha Trunchbull, played by Pam Ferris, rules through fear and physical intimidation. The one adult who sees Matilda clearly is the gentle Miss Honey, played by Embeth Davidtz. Then Matilda starts noticing she can move objects without touching them.
