Synopsis
Hoffa (1992) is a crime drama directed by Danny DeVito — watch online on iFILM. Jack Nicholson plays Jimmy Hoffa, the Teamsters union boss who turned a ragtag workforce of truckers into the most powerful labour force in America. And then lost everything.
Hoffa built his empire deal by deal — some with senators, some with mob figures who had their own ideas about where the pension fund should go. Danny DeVito plays Bobby Ciaro, Hoffa's loyal right hand and the only man who never switched sides. Attorney General Robert Kennedy spent years trying to put Hoffa in a cell. He eventually succeeded. But a presidential pardon got Hoffa back on the street — and back into trouble. The story ends on a parking lot in Detroit, July 1975. No body was ever found.
David Mamet wrote the screenplay as a series of flashbacks from that last night, building the portrait of a man who started fighting for the little guy and ended up answering to people far worse. Nicholson dominates every scene. Watch Hoffa (1992) online on iFILM.
