The Man

The Man (2005) is a Les Mayfield crime comedy you can watch online on iFILM. A case of mistaken identity chains a grim federal agent to the last partner he'd ever pick: a chatty dental-supply salesman.

Derrick Vann (Samuel L. Jackson) is hunting the people who killed his old partner and stole a cache of weapons, and his only lead is a walking mix-up named Andy Fiedler (Eugene Levy). Andy, a meek traveling salesman from Wisconsin, flies into Detroit for a conference and gets mistaken by arms dealers for Vann himself. What follows is a forced double act, one man growling behind a gun while the other apologizes nonstop and botches every move. The friction between Jackson's deadpan menace and Levy's nervous babble carries the whole thing. Luke Goss and Miguel Ferrer fill out the cast.
