Synopsis
God Bless America (2012) is Bobcat Goldthwait's pitch-black crime comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Frank has lost his job, just learned he has a brain tumor, and can no longer stand the cruelty and noise of the world around him. So he decides to do something about it, gun in hand.
His first target is a spoiled reality-TV brat. The only witness is Roxy, a sixteen-year-old who despises rude, stupid people every bit as much as Frank does and promptly talks her way into becoming his partner. Joel Murray plays Frank as a quiet, exhausted man; Tara Lynne Barr makes Roxy a motormouth with a razor tongue. Together they drive across the country, gunning down the people they see as the worst of American culture: loud TV personalities, jerks who talk in movie theaters, smug bigots.
Goldthwait built a mean, deliberately tasteless satire of reality television and everyday meanness, where bloodshed sits right next to long speeches about basic decency.
