Synopsis
The Invisible Thread (Il filo invisibile, 2022) is an Italian family drama you can watch online on iFILM. Director Marco S. Puccioni frames the story around Leone, a teenager shooting a school documentary about his family — who happen to have two fathers.
Leone grew up treating his home as normal, because it was. Then his fathers — played by Filippo Timi and Francesco Scianna — announce they are splitting up. He has to choose which one to live with, and the timing could not be worse: his biological mother Tilly shows up at precisely that moment, adding her own claim to an already crowded picture. The handheld camera Leone carries through the film is more than a device; it lets the story breathe at a teenager's eye level, catching the small awkwardnesses adults prefer to smooth over.
