Synopsis
The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) is a coming-of-age drama you can watch online on iFILM. Pittsburgh, 1991. Charlie starts high school with no friends, hovering at the edge of every room and writing letters to a stranger he never names.
Then two seniors pull him in: Sam and her stepbrother Patrick. Emma Watson plays Sam, Ezra Miller plays Patrick, and Logan Lerman carries the film as Charlie. They drag him to parties, hand him mixtapes, drive him through a tunnel with the radio up, and teach him what it feels like to belong somewhere. Underneath it all, Charlie is carrying a grief he keeps locked away.
Stephen Chbosky directed the movie and wrote the screenplay from his own 1999 novel, a rare case of an author guiding his book straight to the screen. The result is an honest look at first love, friendship and the ache of being sixteen. Stream The Perks of Being a Wallflower online on iFILM.
