Synopsis
Mad World (一念無明, 2016) is a Hong Kong drama you can watch online on iFILM. After a year in a psychiatric ward, Cheung Tung comes back to the city to live with his estranged father — a man he barely knows — in a single cramped room inside a partitioned flat. Neither of them asked for this.
Directed by Wong Chun, the film pairs Shawn Yue as the son navigating a bipolar diagnosis with veteran actor Eric Tsang as the father who shows up but doesn't know how. There are no speeches about recovery. The tension is spatial and physical — two people filling the same few square metres, for the first time in years.
