Synopsis
The Girl in the Book (2015) is an American psychological drama you can watch online on iFILM. Written and directed by Marya Cohn, the film stars Emily VanCamp as Alice, a blocked writer and junior editor at a New York publishing house, alongside Mikael Nyqvist.
Alice keeps her personal life sealed tight. Then her boss hands her an assignment — prepare the reissue of a novel written fifteen years ago. The author, Milan Daneker, is someone her father knows. He is also someone who hurt her badly when she was a teenager. Two timelines run in parallel: the Alice of today, and the girl she was then. The further she gets into the project, the harder it becomes to stay in control.
