Wish of the Fairy Fish (2023) is a Russian fantasy adventure you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Aleksandr Voytinskiy. A lazy young man named Emelya pulls a talking Pike from an icy river and lands three wishes. He burns through two on nonsense and saves the last one.

Then he falls for the tsar's daughter, Anfisa, and decides winning her by magic would be cheating. So he sets out to earn her the hard way. The Pike sheds her fish skin to become a girl, Vasilisa, and the two go hunting for a magic tablecloth, bargain with the sly Cat Bayun, and wander into Koschei's frozen kingdom. Nikita Kologrivyy plays Emelya, Mila Ershova plays Vasilisa, with Roman Madyanov and Yuriy Kolokolnikov rounding out the cast.

The film packed cinemas and became one of the biggest Russian box-office hits of its year, the rare folk tale that lands for kids and for adults who showed up for the wink.
