Synopsis
The Octagon (1980) pits Chuck Norris against an entire clan of ninja, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Scott James, a retired karate champion, has put fighting behind him — until wealthy Justine begs him to guard her from the assassins on her trail.
At first Scott turns the money down flat. Then he learns who trains the killers: a man he studied martial arts with as a boy, now running a hidden academy that churns out ninja for hire. Suddenly it stops being a job and becomes a blood feud. Lee Van Cleef shows up as a grizzled soldier of fortune, and real karate master Tadashi Yamashita rounds out the cast.
Director Eric Karson made one of the films that hooked Western audiences on ninja in the early 80s — the eerie whispered narration, the black hoods, the climactic brawl inside the training compound's octagon.
