Girl You Know It's True (2023) is a drama about one of pop's strangest frauds, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Two dancers, Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan, become the faces of a duo whose songs were actually sung by other people.

German producer Frank Farian builds the act like a studio product: a glossy cover up front, borrowed vocals underneath. The singles sell by the million, the duo picks up a Grammy — and then the tape skips live on stage, unravelling everything in front of a crowd. Matthias Schweighöfer plays Farian, with Elan Ben Ali and Tijan Njie as the singers themselves.
