Synopsis
One More Time (2023) is a Swedish time-loop tragicomedy you can watch online on iFILM. Deep in a midlife slump, Amelia makes a wish on her 40th birthday to be 18 again — and wakes up back in 2002, inside her teenage self.
At first it plays like a gift: a chance to undo bad choices, win back a lost love, do her youth over. Then the same day starts repeating, again and again, and the dream of fixing everything hardens into a trap. The harder Amelia struggles, the clearer it gets that the only way out is to face whatever she was running from the first time around. Hedda Stiernstedt plays her without any rosy nostalgia — all irritation, panic and the awkward business of growing up in hindsight.
Director Jonatan Etzler takes the familiar Groundhog Day engine and tunes it to a Nordic key: fewer easy jokes, more of the sour truth that the past isn't something most of us actually want to relive.
