Sasquatch Sunset (2024) is an oddball comedy from the Zellner brothers, and you can watch it online on iFILM. It follows one year in the life of a Sasquatch family — possibly the last of their kind — without a single line of human dialogue.

Four shaggy creatures wander the forests of North America: they eat, they brawl, they grieve their own and try to make sense of a world changing faster than they can. Riley Keough and Jesse Eisenberg vanish completely under hair and prosthetics, acting through grunts, gestures and looks alone. There's no plot in the usual sense — just the turning seasons and a slow collision with civilization.

The film is deliberately strange: crude and funny one moment, quietly devastating the next, especially when the family stumbles on traces of people. The Zellners turn an absurd premise into a soft fable about extinction. Definitely not for everyone, but if you like festival experiments that don't coddle you, book the seat.
