Monsters, Inc. (2001) is Pixar's wildly inventive family comedy — watch it online on iFILM. The whole system runs smoothly until a tiny girl named Boo slips through a door portal into Monstropolis. Protocol says human contact is catastrophic. What nobody expected is that Boo herself is perfectly fine and the real danger comes from somewhere inside the company. Steve Buscemi gives the rival scarer Randall the right amount of slippery menace. Mary Gibbs recorded Boo's lines by being followed around with a microphone — the kid had no idea she was acting.
