Synopsis

Jabberwocky (1977) is Terry Gilliam's medieval comedy fantasy you can watch online on iFILM. Gilliam's first solo feature — made right after Monty Python and the Holy Grail — drops audiences into the same filth-caked Middle Ages, this time following a barrel-maker instead of knights. Michael Palin plays Dennis Cooper, an earnest village simpleton who stumbles his way toward unlikely glory.

A monstrous creature called the Jabberwocky is tearing through the countryside. Knights keep dying. Dennis arrives in town with nothing but ambition and a crush on a girl who barely notices him. Through a chain of slapstick accidents he ends up at the king's court, where terrified noblemen argue about who should go hunt the beast. The tagline put it plainly: people were catching the plague just to get out of the job.

Gilliam builds his parody of chivalric legend with real visual ambition — the filth, the blood, the sheer bureaucratic misery of feudalism all rendered with perverse care. Stream Jabberwocky (1977) online on iFILM.
