Ragnarok (2020) is a Norwegian Netflix series you can watch online on iFILM. A teenager with a heavy hammer squares off against the family that runs a small town — old Norse myth replanted in the present day.

Brothers Magne and Laurits return to the fjord town of Edda with their mother. The wealthy Jutul family controls the local factory and the high school, and behind their polished surface hides something far from human. When eco-activist classmate Isolde starts digging into mercury in the water, the awkward Magne (David Stakston) discovers a strength no ordinary boy should have: he can hurl a hammer half a kilometer. The town feels like it's sliding toward another end of the world, and someone has to stand in the way.

Made in Denmark and Norway, in Norwegian, with Mogens Hagedorn among the directors, it reworks the gods of Asgard as ordinary teenagers and factory owners, staging good versus evil through a fight over pollution.
