I, Frankenstein

Yvonne Strahovski plays the scientist Terra; Bill Nighy turns up as the demon prince Naberius, all icy menace.

The movie comes from a graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux, co-creator of the Underworld franchise, and it wears that influence openly — neon, rain, cathedrals, undead armies. The plot keeps things plain; the brawls and the moody production design do the heavy lifting. It's a fit for anyone who likes urban gothic fantasy with the talking kept short.
