Tomorrow, When the War Began (2010) is an Australian action-adventure you can watch online on iFILM. Eight teenagers hike off to camp in a remote gorge nicknamed Hell, and come back to find their country has been invaded while they were out of reach.

Their coastal town stands empty. Families and friends have been herded into the local showground under armed guard. The power is cut, patrols work the roads, and fighter jets streak overhead. Ellie (Caitlin Stasey) and her friends fall back to that same gorge and slowly turn from frightened high-schoolers into a guerrilla cell, learning to scavenge supplies, slip past soldiers, and hit back. Some of them crack under the strain; others discover nerve they never knew they had.

This was the directing debut of Stuart Beattie, screenwriter on Pirates of the Caribbean, adapting John Marsden's hugely popular Australian YA novel. Think Red Dawn reworked as a coming-of-age story, where growing up and first losses matter more than who the invaders actually are. It's aimed squarely at teens and fans of sturdy young-adult action.
