Synopsis

Camp X-Ray (2014) is a drama led by Kristen Stewart that you can watch online on iFILM. Amy Cole enlists to escape a small-town dead end and be part of something larger. What she gets is a guard posting at Guantanamo Bay, where nothing about the job stays black and white.

Her days fill up with cell checks, sneers from male squadmates, and constant hostility behind the wire. One detainee, Ali (Peyman Moaadi), has been held eight years without trial or charge. At first it's only sniping through the cell door; then it's talk of books; then it's something the regulations have no word for. The film rests almost entirely on two performers and a narrow corridor of cells.

Peter Sattler's debut premiered at Sundance, and critics singled out Stewart's stripped-down work as a clean break from Twilight. This is slow, uncomfortable cinema about decency surfacing where it isn't supposed to. Stream Camp X-Ray (2014) online on iFILM.
