Synopsis

A Few Good Men (1992) is a military courtroom drama directed by Rob Reiner — watch it online on iFILM. Tom Cruise plays Lt. Daniel Kaffee, a Navy lawyer more comfortable cutting plea deals on a baseball field than fighting for anyone's life in court. Jack Nicholson is Col. Nathan Jessep, commander of the Guantanamo base, who believes certain orders simply do not require an explanation.

Kaffee is handed a case: a Marine died on a Cuban base, and the official story does not hold up. His co-counsel Lt. Cmdr. JoAnne Galloway (Demi Moore) suspects a disciplinary ritual called a "Code Red" was ordered from the top. Proving it means putting a decorated colonel on the stand and getting him to say out loud what he has spent his career hiding. Kevin Bacon, Kiefer Sutherland, and Kevin Pollak round out a sharp ensemble.

Aaron Sorkin adapted his own 1989 Broadway play for the screen. The film earned four Academy Award nominations, including Best Supporting Actor for Nicholson, and the interrogation scene between Cruise and Nicholson became one of the most quoted courtroom exchanges in Hollywood history.
