Synopsis
Organ Trail (2023) is a western horror you can watch online on iFILM. In the frozen Montana wilderness of the 1870s, a young woman is left entirely on her own.
A gang of bloodthirsty bandits wipes out Abigale Archer's family, and the one thing she has left is the family horse the killers ride off with. Slight and easy to underestimate, Abigale tracks them through cold, hunger and circling wolves to take back what's hers. Every night out in the open could be her last, and the line between hunter and hunted thins with each mile.
Director Michael Patrick Jann skips the heroic frontier myth for a bare-knuckle survival story where the beauty of the wild doubles as a death sentence. Zoé De Grand Maison carries the film almost single-handed, in close-ups and long silences, with Sam Trammell of True Blood beside her. The title Organ Trail riffs on the old Oregon Trail game and hints at just how grim the road ahead gets. If you go for harsh neo-westerns and revenge tales, give it a look.
