Synopsis

Jane's husband rides home with eight bullets in him and the Bishop gang close behind. Knowing the outlaws will reach her ranch soon, she goes for help to the only man who can shoot — an ex-lover she walked away from more than a decade ago. Old wounds, things left unsaid, and a coming gunfight all collide on one stretch of dirt.
Joel Edgerton plays the gunman from her past, and Ewan McGregor turns up as the cold-blooded leader of the gang. The production survived a chaotic run of director and cast changes, yet what reached the screen is a lean story about a woman who picks up a rifle because no one else will.
