Synopsis

Hoping to pull her family back together, she takes her husband and son down a river she has known since she was young.
Out on the water they fall in with two strangers, the charming Wade and his silent partner. At first it feels like company. Then the truth surfaces: the men have robbed an armored car, lost their guide, and need someone who can run a stretch of lethal rapids. Gail is the only one who can read the river. Her son becomes leverage, and her desk-bound architect husband suddenly has to find out what he is made of.
Meryl Streep rowed through most of her own scenes and trained for months on whitewater, a rare turn into pure physical action for her.
